Terex - Motherwell, Scotland.  Russell's Transport - Russells Vehicle Management and Towing were up in Scotland this week for the delivery and setup of the Terex Exhibition Unit at their manufacturing plant in Motherwell, Scotland

The Terex Motherwell plant is the manufacuring location for off-highway arctic and rigid trucks. For those of you who don’t know, Terex make those ginormous dumper trucks (among things) that race around mines carrying ridiculous 100 ton payloads. As you might expect the manufacturing facility is huge and very efficiently managed. While pumping out over 400 trucks per year, many of the main components are fabricated on site and then injected into the appropriate place in the assembly line, ensuring a constant production flow. Looking at the engineering, these trucks are impressive!  They are put to work 24 hours a day and rack up 3000 working hours in only 6 months.The machines used to fabricate the trucks are equally impressive, Gigantic CNC machines and the world’s oldest robotic welder. The truck business has been an important part of the Terex Company for more than three decades and continues to produce world class products with dedicated and talented emloyees.

Russell's Transport are up in Motherwell for the setup of  the Terex Exhibiton Unit for a presentaion to prospective customers and dealers. The Terex Exhibition Unit will be collected later next week and returned back to our facility near Silverstone.
